Captioning and Subtitling Services

Subtitles typically include dialogue only and are often intended for translation purposes. Closed captions can be turned on and off as required, and should include sound effects and additional descriptions for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Our standard subtitling services are priced at £3.50 per video minute for standard dialogue-only English subtitles for online use. Closed captioning prices typically range from £4.50 to £6.50, depending on the caption format required and whether the output will be online, VoD or broadcast.

Translation Services

Video translation is important in making video accessible to foreign viewers, via either document translation or foreign subtitles. Subtitle translation can be especially useful for forced narratives which should be used in multilingual content to make sure that all spoken languages are understood by one audience.

Video translations and foreign subtitles start at £0.12 or £6.50 per video minute.

Audio Description Services

Designed to make content accessible for visually impaired audiences, audio description involves overlaying a voice recording which describes the visual information and action of a video. Audio descriptions can be highly descriptive or barely-there depending on the complexity of the video and/or the amount of dialogue which allows the voiceover to slot in. Descriptions can also be recorded and translated in a number of languages.

Audio description services are typically charged at a rate of £25.00 per video minute to include script writing, recording and post editing, with a final audio file supplied.

BSL Services

British sign language (via a professional interpreter) can be added to videos to ensure they are accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences that use sign language as their preferred means to communicate.

Interpreting and sign language services are typically charged at a rate of £25.00 per video minute and include transcription for use with a teleprompter, translation, recording and post-editing.
